We might be a few months early here, but we’re already getting just a little bit excited about the return of Love Island this year. Now entering its fourth season, it’s no secret that the ITV show has taken the country by storm ever since its reboot in 2015, and we simply can’t wait for it to return to our screens this summer.
In fact, last year we enjoyed the show so much that we hosted a special Love Island event right here at Barca Bar Manchester. Transforming our stunning Catalan Suite into a tropical paradise, we put on an incredible night to celebrate the final of the hit show- complete with guest appearances from islanders Jessica Rose and Dominic Lever!
So, the real question is: what can we expect from Love Island 2018?

When Is It Back?
The most important thing you’ll probably want to know is when Love Island is actually going to return to our television screens. Well, last year the show kick-off early in June, so we’d expect a very similar date this time around. We’ve got our money on June 4th, but nothing has officially been confirmed so don’t be surprised if it’s another date close to that time.
How To Apply For Love Island 2018
Most of us watch Love Island for the sheer entertainment value, while there are some viewers out there that dream of actually appearing on the raunchy show. Applications can be made through the ITV website, with the deadline for submissions on April 30th 2018- so you’ve still got plenty of time to put your name forward.
When Will the Line-Up Be Announced?
If you’ve applied to be on the show, then you’re probably going to be sat nervously biting your fingernails for a month or so, because the showrunners are going to have tens of thousands of applications to sift through! Expect an announcement a week or so before the show begins.
Will Caroline Flack Return?
Nothing has been confirmed yet- but surely she is. If not, then this would cause more outrage than having a series of Bake Off without Mary Berry, and we all know what a farce that turned into!
Our fantastic Love Island event showcased exactly what makes us the best bar in Manchester, and maybe we’ll end up doing something similar for the new series!
